Raytheon’s Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) strategic business unit (SBU) specializes in multi-integrated air and missile defense, advanced sensors, space-based systems, hypersonics, effectors and cyber solutions. Focused on program execution, business growth and the highest level of customer satisfaction, the ASDS team provides customers with unmatched capabilities of detection and sensing, command and control, and air-to-air, air-to-surface, and surface-to-air munitions to accomplish air, space and missile defense missions. 

The ASDS SBU is seeking a Senior Manager to perform as a Section Leader in the Engineering Execution Team (EET) Department focused on the Strike Initiatives SSBU. As a Section Leader, you will be expected to actively participate in EET leadership team goals and initiatives, support department hiring and program staffing, and provide employee feedback and mentoring. This position provides an opportunity to improve your skillset by contributing to the development of our workforce. Given the unique role-based model of the department, the candidate will need to be an existing IPT Lead within EET.

This position is 100% onsite in Tucson, AZ.

What You Will Do

  • Lead a team of IPT Leaders within the Strike Initiatives SSBU.

  • Establish meaningful and measurable goals and communicate effectively with the team.

  • Oversee the direct line management activities for the section including communication, performance impact, career development, and talent acquisition.

  • Support department and SBU-level initiatives.

  • Ensure employee compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Oversight of personnel issue resolution.

  • Adhere to and ensure alignment to Raytheon Technologies Values and Behaviors.

  • Maintain program position as an IPT Lead; Section Leader duties account for approximately 15% of the employee’s time.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

  • Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) experience within ASDS EET.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with team leadership.

  • Experience with the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar budget tracking system.

  • Experience with Raytheon’s Proposal Capture Process (development of Basis of Estimates, etc.).

  • Experience with the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
