This is an onsite entry level role located in Richardson, TX

What You Will Do:

As a Research Engineer with the Mission Applied Science and Technology (MAST) group is hiring a Research and Development Engineer based in Richardson, TX.  We apply fundamental technical principles rooted in math, science, and engineering to develop new concepts to extract information from multi-sensor data sources. Capabilities are researched, developed and matured for operational deployment to commercial cloud computing environment. We work in a secure, collaborative, team-oriented environment to develop solutions for the US Government that solve problems important to national security.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• 0+ years of experience with a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related Science, obtained by start date.
• Some software development experience in python or C/C++
• Experience in at least one of the following: using commercial cloud services, developing algorithms in a Linux environment, training a model using a machine learning framework, Agile development, using Git on a software development project
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.
• Experience with commercial cloud computing, DevSecOps, and High Performance Computing
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance

This position requires ability to obtain a security clearance. The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
