Job description

Job Summary

The Tampa Bay Rays and Rowdies are seeking dependable, enthusiastic, and motivated individuals to garner donations for the Rays Baseball Foundation and Rowdies Soccer Fund 50/50 Charity Raffles during the 2026 regular season. This unique opportunity allows individuals to gain sports industry experience while helping your community, and the greater Tampa Bay region through foundation programming.

Requirements:

Arrive 2 hours before gametime and roam Tropicana Field or Al Lang (dependent on assignment) and garner donations in exchange for raffle tickets.

Responsibilities

  1. Educate fans and answer questions about the Rays Baseball Foundation and Rowdies Soccer Fund programming and 50/50 Charity Raffle.
  2. Facilitate raffle ticket transactions via electronic handheld device.
  3. Serve as Rays Baseball Foundation and Rowdies Soccer Fund ambassador, enhancing our fan experience.
  4. Accurately handle both cash and credit card transactions.
  5. Must be able to walk long distances, climb up/down stadium stairs, while standing for long periods of time.
  6. Understand and be able to articulate the mission of the Rays Baseball Foundation and Rowdies Soccer Fund to fans.
  7. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.

Qualifications

  1. Outgoing personality with inviting demeanor.
  2. Comfortable approaching people and requesting donations in front of crowds.
  3. Able to work non-traditional hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by Tampa Bay Rays and Rowdies.
  4. Excellent verbal communication skills.
  5. Exceptional customer service skills.
  6. Positive attitude with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  7. Bilingual a plus.
