What are raw seafoods?

Raw seafoods are uncooked edible products sourced from the ocean, rivers, or lakes, including fish, shellfish, and mollusks. These items are often served in dishes such as sushi, sashimi, oysters on the half shell, or ceviche. Consuming raw seafood can offer unique flavors and textures, but it also requires careful sourcing and handling to ensure safety and freshness. Proper storage and preparation are essential to minimize the risk of foodborne illnesses. Always purchase raw seafood from reputable suppliers and consume it as soon as possible.
