Job description

DX1, a division of Dominion Enterprises, is hiring a SEO/SEM Marketing Manager to join our Norfolk, Virginia-based team, managing the SEO/SEM team focused on search engine marketing (paid search), search engine optimization (organic search), and website analytics.

DX1 is a cloud-based dealership management system for the motorsports industry. We build and maintain customer-facing websites for dealers selling motorcycles, ATVs, side by sides, snowmobiles, scooters, power equipment and more. 

Position Summary

DX1 is looking for an experienced SEO/SEM Manager to lead our search marketing team and drive measurable results for hundreds of powersports dealership websites across the US. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, managing a small team while overseeing a high-volume client portfolio.

Success in this position requires someone who thinks like a boutique digital marketing agency but can build scalable processes that deliver consistent results across many accounts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, data-driven, process-oriented, and passionate about continuous improvement through automation, AI, and marketing technology.

Responsibilities

● Lead, mentor, and develop a team of up to three SEO/SEM specialists.
● Manage search marketing strategies for a large portfolio of dealership websites while maintaining high-quality service standards.
● Develop scalable SEO and paid search programs that can be efficiently implemented across hundreds of clients.
● Prioritize work based on business impact, client needs, and team capacity.
● Establish processes, documentation, and quality standards that improve efficiency and consistency.
● Conduct technical SEO audits and identify opportunities to improve site health, crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, and organic performance.
● Oversee keyword research, on-page optimization, local SEO, content recommendations, link-building strategies, and competitive analysis.
● Manage Google Ads campaigns, including budgeting, bidding strategies, audience targeting, ad copy testing, and conversion optimization.
● Monitor campaign performance and communicate results through meaningful reporting and actionable recommendations.
● Collaborate closely with Product Development, Customer Success, and Account Management teams and the Website Builders to implement SEO best practices within our website platform.
● Stay current on Google algorithm updates, paid search trends, AI search developments, and emerging digital marketing technologies.
● Continuously identify opportunities to automate repetitive work using technology, templates, AI, and workflow improvements.

Required Qualifications

● 5+ years of SEO and SEM experience with proven results.
● 2+ years managing or mentoring marketing professionals.
● Experience managing multiple client accounts in an agency or high-volume SaaS environment.
● Strong understanding of technical SEO, local SEO, content strategy, and paid search.
● Advanced knowledge of:

  • This role offers a compensation of approximately $85,000 - $90,000 annually. Compensation factors include geography, experience, education, job demands, job market, etc. Additional benefits for full-time employees include medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, 401k, and matching up to.  4% fully vested on day one of employment; paid vacation, company holidays, and sick leave; corporate discount opportunities.
