Position Overview:

Raven Defense is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to support the fabrication, assembly, testing, and integration of complex mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. This role involves working with precision-machined components, enclosures, brackets, and structural assemblies for defense and aerospace applications. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, mechanically inclined, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the fabrication, assembly, and integration of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct mechanical system testing, troubleshooting, and adjustments to ensure functionality and performance.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to perform assembly and modifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to support prototype development and system improvements.
  • Maintain detailed records of assembly procedures, modifications, and test results.
  • Follow safety guidelines, quality standards, and industry best practices.
  • Assist in field testing and deployment of mechanical systems as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, fabrication, or manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with defense, aerospace, automotive, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of machining, welding, or CNC operation.
  • Familiarity with environmental testing and quality assurance procedures.
  • Experience working with composite materials, sheet metal, or structural assemblies.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel (up to 25%) may be required for field testing, system integration, and project support.

Security & Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
  • Must meet minimum eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
