What is rate pay?

Rate pay jobs are positions where employees are compensated based on a set rate, which can be hourly, daily, or per unit of work completed, rather than receiving a fixed salary. This type of pay structure is common in industries such as manufacturing, retail, and hospitality, where work hours or output can vary. Rate pay offers flexibility for both employers and employees but may result in fluctuating income depending on the amount of work available.
