Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Cleaners to provide cleaning services for government facilities at the Tofte Ranger District. Work is performed after business hours and includes routine and periodic cleaning of offices, restrooms, common areas, and bunkhouses.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning services three (3) times per week after business hours
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum all floor types (carpet, tile, laminate, etc.)
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms (toilets, sinks, fixtures, floors)
  • Clean offices and common areas (dusting, wiping surfaces, furniture)
  • Maintain kitchen/breakroom areas (counters, sinks, tables)
  • Empty trash and recycling; replace liners and transport to designated areas
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
  • Clean outdoor outhouses and entry areas
  • Restock consumables (soap, paper towels, toilet paper)
  • Ensure facility is secured after cleaning (lights off, doors/windows locked)

Periodic Duties

  • Perform deep cleaning tasks (walls, vents, fixtures, furniture)
  • Spot clean carpets and maintain floor conditions
  • Assist with bunkhouse deep cleaning twice per year (spring & fall)
  • Perform basic pest control (as required)

Requirements

  • Previous janitorial or cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and flexible hours
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • Must be able to pass background checks for access to government facilities
  • Reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25–50 lbs
  • Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks
