We are partnering with a well-established, highly respected construction company in the Auburn/Opelika area to find a Controller who is ready to step into a high-impact role with real visibility and influence. Compensation:
  • Salary range: $110k - 140K DOE
What You'll Be Doing
  • Manage and forecast cash flow to support operational needs
  • Lead month-end close and ensure accurate account reconciliation
  • Prepare and deliver timely financial statements
  • Present financial performance and insights to the President and VP
  • Maintain and prepare work-in-progress and percentage-completion schedules
  • Partner with external CPA firm and support annual audit activities
  • Lead, mentor, and support AP, AR, and Payroll staff
  • Review and approve invoices, expenses, and disbursements
  • Oversee project billing and revenue recognition
  • Manage payroll for office personnel, including tax filings and year-end wage reconciliation
  • Handle annual insurance renewals and related requirements
What You'll Need to Be Considered
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • 10+ years of solid full cycle accounting experience
  • Must have construction accounting experience
  • Proven Leadership experience
  • Deep understanding of construction accounting, including WIP/% completion
  • ERP System experience
  • Strong MS Excel
