Job Description
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for auditing, sampling, and testing finished OSB (Oriented Strand Board) product during assigned shifts to ensure quality standards are met. This role monitors production processes, performs material testing, and communicates quality concerns with operations teams. The technician plays a key role in maintaining product consistency, supporting process improvements, and promoting a safe and efficient manufacturing environment. Attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are critical for success in this position.

Responsibilities:
· Audit the OSB manufacturing process including measurement of length, width, and squareness
· Perform sampling and testing of raw materials and finished products
· Monitor KPIs and packaging quality standards such as edgeseal coverage and strap tightness
· Check and adjust process equipment including moisture meters, forming line scales, and trim saws
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab and testing areas while communicating quality concerns to leadership and operators

Qualifications and Requirements:
· Ability to perform basic math and read measurement tools such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
· Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and recommend improvements
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment
· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; prior wood manufacturing experience preferred
