Job description

The Customer Service Intake Specialist serves as a primary point of contact for providers and members, processing authorization and service inquiries while driving first-call resolution. In this role, you will research eligibility and provider status, communicate case updates, resolve non-clinical issues, and safeguard protected health information (PHI)—all while maintaining a high standard of quality and customer care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Authorization & Service Processing: Actively listen to callers, process authorization and customer service requests, and drive first-call resolution.

  • Information & Confidentiality: Research and communicate details regarding member eligibility, provider status, and authorization inquiries while maintaining strict HIPAA confidentiality.

  • Problem Resolution: Handle customer complaints directly, making empowered non-clinical resolution decisions and guiding callers on required clinical details to reduce unnecessary transfers.Payrate: Starts at $18 per hourSchedule: CST hours (full time)Location: Fully Remote (equipment provided)

Qualifications

Required:
