Job description

Railroad Track Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Mulberry, Florida
Job Type: Full-time, On-Site
About the Role
Road & Rail Services is hiring a Railroad Track Maintenance Supervisor to oversee multiple local customer sites in the Mulberry, Florida area.
This position sits between the field crews and the Senior Project Manager. You will provide leadership to foremen, help coordinate daily track maintenance activity across multiple sites, and make sure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with customer expectations.
This is not a desk-only supervisor role. We are looking for someone who understands railroad track maintenance, knows what good field work looks like, and can lead people while also handling the reporting, scheduling, billing support, and customer communication that keep the operation running smoothly.
What You'll Do
As the Railroad Track Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee field activity across multiple local sites while supporting foremen and crews with the resources, direction, and accountability they need.
Supervise and support foremen responsible for track maintenance, repairs, tie replacement, rail work, vegetation control, and related field activities
Coordinate staffing, schedules, equipment, work priorities, and customer needs across multiple locations
Complete operational reporting, maintain required documentation, and support accurate billing and work tracking
Partner with the Senior Project Manager and customers to address service needs, resolve issues, and identify opportunities to expand existing work or develop new business
What We're Looking For
We need someone who can manage both the work and the people doing it.
Hands-on experience with railroad track maintenance, construction, repair, or similar rail operations
Previous leadership experience supervising employees, crews, foremen, or field operations
Strong organization and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple sites and changing priorities
Comfortable working with schedules, reports, billing documentation, customer communication, and basic business development activity
The Right Fit
A strong Railroad Track Maintenance Supervisor should be able to walk a jobsite, understand what the crew is doing, recognize problems early, and help get them resolved.
You should also be comfortable holding people accountable, communicating expectations clearly, and building relationships with both employees and customers. This role requires someone who can move between the field and the administrative side of the operation without losing sight of safety, quality, or productivity.
Why Road & Rail Services?
Road & Rail Services offers a full benefits package including medical, dental, 401(k), paid holidays, and vacation.
Since 1987, Road & Rail Services has grown into one of North America's leading providers of rail-related services. Our teams support railroads, shippers, terminals, and industrial customers across the country.
If you have railroad track maintenance experience and are ready to take on broader leadership responsibility, apply today for the Railroad Track Maintenance Supervisor position in Mulberry, Florida.
