Job description

Savin Engineers, P.C. is seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer with 2–5 years of mechanical/HVAC design experience to support the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing division in our NJ office. The successful candidate will contribute to our HVAC system designs, field surveys, engineering calculations, technical reports, construction documents, and client-facing deliverables.


Responsibilities

· Work closely with project design teams and clients to provide HVAC system and equipment design services at large industrial, municipal, and educational facilities.

· Conduct field surveys, develop basis-of-design reports, perform airflow, heating, and cooling calculations, and maintain detailed engineering design files.

· Select, size, and engineer layouts of various HVAC equipment, including boilers, chillers, pumps, air-handling units, ductwork, and cooling towers.

· Apply technical, communication, and leadership skills to present findings and integrated solutions to clients through written reports and oral presentations.

· Prepare detailed specifications, contract drawings, and contractor bid packages.

· Support client relationships through quality deliverables, professional communication, and effective customer interactions.


Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.

· Engineer-in-Training certification with progress toward Professional Engineer licensure preferred.

· Strong knowledge of AutoCAD required; proficiency in Revit preferred.

· Familiarity with applicable mechanical codes, ASHRAE standards, public-sector facilities, construction administration, or field survey documentation is a plus.
