We are looking to hire an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team of managers, engineers, and designers, representing the industry's top talent.

Duties and responsibilities: 
The position performs general civil engineering work under the direct supervision of a project manager for clients the company serves in various markets.

The position will apply fundamental engineering training, knowledge, and experience to deliver all tasks and all different project types including engineering studies and site investigation reports; land development designs; preparation of Basis of Design (BOD); preparation of fully designed plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E), and other engineering reports, cost estimates, and construction support. Typical clients served include Municipalities, Dod agencies, private developers, and other public and private organizations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The main duties are as follows, but not limited to:
The selected candidate will support the efforts of a Project Manager in team supervision and execution of various projects including:
  • Site Engineering Design associated with buildings and parking
  • Street improvement design
  • Pavement rehabilitation
  • Rough and precise grading plans
  • Storm design and drainage calculations
  • Potable and reclaimed waterlines design
  • Sewer pipe design
  • Flood control improvements
  • Freeway and interchange improvements
  • Specifications
  • Utility coordination
  • Permit processing
  • Construction support

Qualifications:
  • Team leadership
  • Preferred Knowledge of public works and DoD agency processes
  • Skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to prepare engineering reports with the guidance of a project manager or senior individual.

Education & Experiences:
  • A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college (ABET) is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of civil engineering experience
  • EIT License (in California), preferred 
  • Experience working with DoD agencies like the Navy will be considered a plus.
