Join a Collaborative, Expert-Led Pediatric Emergency Medicine Team at Geisinger
Geisinger is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) Physicians to join our expanding team at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center (GWV) in Wilkes-Barre, PA. This is a unique opportunity to practice high-acuity pediatric emergency care while contributing to system-wide innovation, education, and leadership.
Job Duties:
About the Team
At Geisinger, you'll work alongside a dedicated, multidisciplinary team of pediatric emergency professionals, including:
  • Over 50 certified Pediatric Emergency Medicine nurses across the system
  • In-house Pediatric Hospitalists and Neonatologists available 24/7
  • Certified Child Life Specialists to support children and families during care
  • Advanced practice providers (APPs) and emergency medicine physicians
  • Fellowship-trained PEM physicians who lead initiatives in education, quality improvement, and clinical innovation
  • Collaborative subspecialty support from nearly every pediatric medical and surgical specialty within our 90-bed children's hospital
  • A culture of team-based care, continuous learning, and shared decision-making

  • 4-bed pediatric emergency zone at GWV designed for infants, children, and teens

Compensation & Benefits
  • Starting salary: $350,000
  • Fellowship stipend: $2,500/month from offer acceptance to graduation
