VENUE/PROPERTY INFO
Located at PNC Field, home of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, this role offers the opportunity to work in a professional sports and events venue. PNC Field is a 10,000-seat professional baseball stadium featuring a full-size ballpark, multiple concession areas, premium seating, suites, and event spaces. The venue hosts not only baseball games but is proud to host a range of other events throughout the year.
THE ROLE
The Concessions Supervisor oversees daily food and beverage operations at RailRiders games and events, ensuring efficient service, quality standards, and an excellent fan experience. This role supervises and trains concessions staff, manages inventory and cash handling, ensures compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, and coordinates with management to meet sales and operational goals. The Concessions Supervisor also handles customer concerns, supports event setup and breakdown, and helps maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming concessions environment throughout the ballpark.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise and support concessions staff during games and special events to ensure smooth, efficient operations
  • Train, coach, and motivate team members on customer service, food preparation, and safety procedures
  • Ensure all concession stands comply with food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
  • Monitor product quality, portion control, and presentation standards
  • Manage inventory and tracking food, beverage, and supply levels
  • Oversee cash handling procedures, POS operations, and end-of-shift reconciliation
  • Address and resolves guest questions or concerns promptly to enhance the fan experience
  • Coordinate setup and breakdown of concession areas before and after events
  • Enforce company policies, stadium rules, and safety protocols
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding staff needs, sales performance, and operational issues
  • Assist with scheduling and adjusting staffing levels based on attendance and event demands
  • Support overall ballpark operations as needed to ensure a positive and memorable guest experience

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Previous experience in food service, concessions, hospitality, or retail operations preferred.
  • Prior lead, supervisory, or key-holder experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment (stadium, arena, restaurant) preferred
  • Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems, cash handling, and inventory management
  • Demonstrated ability to train, motivate, and supervise staff effectively
  • Strong customer service background with the ability to lead and train a team
  • Familiarity with food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations preferred

  • Strong leadership and team supervision skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Excellent customer service and guest-relations abilities with a fan-first mindset.
