Description
Stacy Witbeck is looking for an Office/Field Engineer in the NorCal region to support our growing projects. This project is California High Speed Rail Track and Systems Construction Contract. We get things done and you will be on a historic win.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Develop workplans and approach  
  • Perform Take-off efforts for assigned portions of the estimate  
  • An understanding of Contract documents and associated requirements for; change orders, requests for compensation, and time extensions 
  • Writing and managing RFI’s and Submittals  
  • Powerful verbal and written communication skills or desire to develop 
  • Managing costs; including tracking quantities and cost for production operations and materials 
  • Ability to interpret schedule with/without scheduler depending on project size and scope 
  • Coordination with project superintendents regarding schedule and resources including people, equipment, materials, subcontractors, suppliers, etc.​ 
  • Responsible for overseeing and contributing to selected scope(s) of large-scale construction infrastructure projects  
  • Ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and according to safety and engineering standards 
  • Managing the review of shop drawings, calculations and design documents to identify potential issues and propose solutions 
  • Coordinate with owner representatives on changes and billings 
  • Site surveying, quality control, and coordinating with subcontractors on the project site 

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
**Please note--Requirements are essential, but preferences have flexibility. **
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferably in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or similar; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • 3+ years field experience with exposure to estimating responsibilities 
  • Proficient in Bluebeam, Excel, Word 
  • Must have ability to travel if required  
  • A Driver’s License in good standing is required  
Preferences:
  • Excellent communication skills are preferred with the ability to listen, engage, and influence.  
  • OSHA 10/ OSHA 30 
  • OPC/P6 
  • Passion and enthusiasm for transit projects and heavy civil construction 
  • Desire to learn and participate in company provided training to develop skills and grow your career
