Railcar Loading Operator - Fertilizer Operations
Company: Road & Rail Services
Location: Mulberry/Bone Valley, FL
Pay: $20.00 per hour

Schedule: Rotating swing shift, including days and nights

Road & Rail Services is seeking dependable Railcar Loading Operators for our fertilizer operations in the Mulberry and Bone Valley area. This position plays an important part in preparing bulk fertilizer shipments for safe and efficient rail transportation.
As a Railcar Loading Operator, you will monitor the loading process, inspect product quality, and help position railcars using remote-controlled equipment. This is an active, outdoor industrial job that involves climbing ladders, accessing elevated work platforms, and working around railroad equipment.
Previous railroad experience is not required. Training will be provided to help you learn our operating procedures, safety requirements, and equipment. Successful candidates will be reliable, attentive, and prepared to work a rotating schedule.
Primary Responsibilities
Monitor fertilizer as it is transferred into railcars.
Observe product flow and distribution throughout the loading process.
Verify that railcars receive the correct product and load amount.
Perform quality inspections to help prevent contamination or inaccurate loads.
Operate remote-controlled equipment to assist with positioning railcars.
Work from platforms and other elevated areas located above railcars.
Inspect the loading area and report unsafe conditions, equipment problems, or product concerns.
Follow site-specific operating procedures and loading instructions.
Use fall-protection equipment whenever required.
Wear all assigned personal protective equipment.
Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Communicate with coworkers and supervisors to support safe, efficient operations.
Complete required production and inspection documentation.
Participate in safety meetings and job-related training.
Perform additional general labor duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ability to work a rotating swing shift that includes both daytime and nighttime hours.
Comfortable climbing ladders and working from elevated platforms.
Ability to work outdoors in heat, rain, humidity, and other changing weather conditions.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physical work for extended periods.
Willingness to work around railcars, industrial machinery, and bulk fertilizer products.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written safety instructions.
Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to the work location.
Strong attention to safety, product quality, and operational details.
Willingness to complete company-provided training.
Experience in railroad operations, manufacturing, construction, warehousing, agriculture, equipment operation, or general labor is helpful but not required.
