Senior Logistics Coordinator (Rail Logistics)

Own Rail Strategy. Build Relationships. Drive Profitability.

Didion is seeking a Senior Logistics Coordinator to help lead and optimize our rail transportation network.

This role combines customer partnership, railroad relationship management, transportation strategy, and logistics execution. You'll work closely with customers, railroads, leasing partners, and internal teams to improve service, negotiate freight solutions, manage rail assets, and keep products moving safely and efficiently. Candidates with rail logistics experience are strongly preferred.

Remote, hybrid, and on-site work arrangements will be considered for the right candidate

Applicants must reside and perform work in a state where Didion is authorized to employ remote team members. Currently, Didion does not employ remote team members whose principal work location is California, New Jersey, Illinois, or New York.

Compensation: $85,000 To $95,000 Per Year

What You'll Do

  • Build relationships with railroads, customers, and transportation partners.

  • Coordinate rail shipments, equipment availability, and transportation performance.

  • Support rail rate negotiations and transportation cost management.

  • Manage railcar utilization, fleet visibility, and service issues.

  • Resolve transportation challenges and communicate proactively with stakeholders.

  • Analyze freight performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Accounting to support customer commitments.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in rail logistics, transportation, supply chain, carrier management, or a related field.

  • Experience working with railroads, rail-served customers, or rail transportation providers preferred.

  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

  • Analytical mindset with a focus on customer service, profitability, and continuous improvement.
