What is radiology?

Radiology is a medical specialty that uses imaging techniques, such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and ultrasound, to diagnose and sometimes treat diseases within the body. The field of radiology continues to advance with new technologies, improving both diagnosis and treatment options for patients.

Becoming a radiologist typically requires about 13 to 15 years of education and training, including four years of undergraduate studies, four years of medical school, a one-year internship, and a four- to five-year radiology residency.
