Radiology Tech - Interventional Radiology Tech
Position Overview
Support interventional radiology procedures by preparing patients and equipment, assisting physicians, and ensuring sterile technique and radiation safety.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality image-guided therapies and patient care.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare OR-ready IR suite, sterilize equipment, and assist with procedure setup
  • Assist interventional radiologists during procedures and manage supplies
  • Coordinate patient monitoring, contrast administration, and sterile technique
  • Maintain documentation of procedures and ensure accurate image labeling
  • Operate imaging equipment and ensure image quality and safety
  • Communicate with patients and families regarding procedures and post-procedure care
  • Participate in equipment maintenance and safety checks
  • Collaborate with radiology staff and physicians to optimize workflow
Qualifications
Education:
Radiologic Technologist degree with IR training
Licensure:
State licensure as a radiologic technologist
Certifications:
  • ARRT IR certification or general radiography with IR specialty
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience or Skills:
2+ years IR or interventional imaging experience; strong procedural support and patient safety focus
Experience
