What is the difference between Radiologist Income vs Radiologic Technologist Income?

AspectRadiologist IncomeRadiologic Technologist Income
Required CredentialsMedical degree, residency, medical licenseAssociate's or Bachelor's in Radiologic Technology, certification
Work EnvironmentHospitals, clinics, private practices, often in diagnostic imagingHospitals, imaging centers, outpatient clinics
Employer & Industry UsageMedical industry, healthcare providersMedical imaging services, healthcare facilities
Income Range$300,000 - $500,000 annually$50,000 - $70,000 annually

Radiologists typically earn significantly higher incomes than radiologic technologists due to advanced medical training, specialized skills, and greater responsibilities in diagnosis and patient care. Both roles are essential in medical imaging but differ greatly in education requirements and earning potential.
