Job description

  • Develops and maintains a positive attitude related to work dealing with Radiologists, Physicians, and co-workers.
  • Demonstrates concern for patients while providing care and safety during treatment and recognizing legal implications of patient care.
  • Recognizes the importance of the fiscal operations of the hospital and department, utilizes work time efficiently and has knowledge of hospital policies, functions and
    other departments functions.
  • Has knowledge for safe handling of equipment, fire and safety regulations and department specific regulations.
  • Takes call when assigned or necessary to maintain department's ability to provide 24 hour service, performs all functions associated with Technologist duties as well as being responsible for any and all paperwork assigned.
  • Demonstrates initiative and desire for professional growth as well as performs any and all other job duties assigned by the Director for completion of job requirements.
  • Is willing to teach, assist and observe student technologist with the performance of exams and evaluate when needed.
  • Annual completion of World Health Organization hand hygiene education and training and its relationship to infection control in addition to physical demonstration and understanding of compliance monitoring

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, active license with American Registry of Radiologic
Technologist (ARRT), or graduate who is registry eligible and motivated to obtain said registry.
Radiologic Technologist : Current license or eligible for current license with American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross OR obtain Basic Life Support certification through Colquitt Regional Medical Center Educational Services upon hire.
