Responsibilities
PeopleTec is currently seeking a Senior RF Engineer / Developer to support our Huntsville, AL location.
PeopleTec is a company that hires and develops technology talent and puts them to work on client projects across the United States. We specialize in full stack development, Cloud, DevSecOps, Cybersecurity, Offensive Cyber, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Business Intelligence (BI), Data Science, Machine Learning (ML) related initiatives, both in the federal and commercial space. PeopleTec is actively seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Engineer/Developer with a strong technical background in offensive cyber operations, RF technologies, and emerging cyber threats. This position will be based in Huntsville, AL, and involves developing, deploying, and refining cyber-Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) to counter evolving adversarial cyber and RF threats. The Senior RF Engineer/Developer will lead technical offensive cyber initiatives within the T&E community, collaborating closely with the Intelligence Community (IC) to develop and test realistic threat representations and prototypes.
Duties:
  • Research and develop prototypes to provide realistic threat representations for the T&E community
  • Analyze intelligence reports from within the IC community to provide recommendations and prototype direction based on validated threat intelligence
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design, test, and refine offensive tools and exploits for RF environments, including custom signal processing and jamming techniques
  • Develop proof-of-concept exploits and document findings to support the improvement of RF system security and resilience
  • Build and maintain signal processing algorithms for demodulating, decoding, and injecting data into RF channels
  • Develop and optimize real-time RF data acquisition and analysis applications to support offensive research and testing
  • Integrate hardware interfaces, such as SDR's, with custom software to facilitate direct interaction with RF signals
  • Develop custom software applications for SDR's, utilizing vendor-specific API's and SDK's to interface with and control RF hardware
  • Utilize Hardware Description Languages such as VHDL or Verilog to design, simulate, and implement custom FPGA modules for RF signal manipulation and analysis
  • Develop and maintain code for FPGA based signal processing pipelines, integrating with SDR hardware to support offensive RF operations
  • Troubleshoot and optimize the interaction between host software, SDR hardware, and on-board FPGA resources for robust and efficient RF exploit development

Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience within a cyber related field
  • Proficient with C/C++ and Python
  • Experience in rapid prototyping of embedded systems
  • Hands-on experience with GNU Radio, SDR's, and similar RF tools for signal manipulation, protocol analysis, and TTP development.
  • Understanding of Digital Communications and Signal Processing
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for T&E support, stakeholder coordination, and on-site assessments as needed.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Currently possess Top Secret clearance. Must be eligible for a TS/SCI clearance w/ C.I. poly

Education Requirements:
  • B.S. degree or higher in an Engineering discipline

Desired Skills:
  • Experience analyzing cyber threat intelligence from the IC community
  • Experience in modeling, simulation, and/or analysis of RF Systems
  • Strong understanding of cyber and electromagnetic spectrum technologies
  • Experience implementing digital signal processing chains on FPGA's
  • Previous work experience in the T&E community
  • DoD Red Team experience
