Job description

The Super User (SU) will be a valuable member in contributing to Metro’s future. Reporting to the Manager, Operational Excellence, this individual will be responsible for supporting Operations on-site with day-to-day support and enhancement of the configuration primarily focused, but not limited to, Manhattan’s Scale (Scale) Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure on-going client and business needs are met.

This individual will also, as required, provide/support Scale testing and training to the Operations organization based on standardized governance established by OPEX and related Scale functions.

Additionally, this resource will support the ongoing deployment of the standard reporting capabilities within the Cognos application.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You are the first line of support for Operations for issue resolution in the warehouse working alongside with the Operations team to support them throughout the day, ensuring that the system functions and configuration is enabling the team to deliver on performance and volume needs
  • You will serve as the point person for Scale support issues and advocate for best implementation practices for our clients and operations team.
  • You will assist with security access questions, support security access update processes and advise on security role selections for your team and supporting functions aligned to a RASCI Matrix
  • You will support Scale training for new/existing Operations resources within various operational sites
  • You will support Scale configuration changes, adjustments or updates within a standard design template to help optimize existing operations and drive Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunities with a focus on cost savings
  • You will record, submit and address issues with Scale configuration, templates, documentation and/or reports
  • You will support the deployment of standard reports within the Cognos application
  • You will understand business processes and requirements, and translate them to specific software requirements, including Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and GAP Analysis for extension development
  • You will support new client configurations for projects, ensuring the base configuration templates, operational best practices and client needs are all supported through the launch and hyper-care
  • You will use pre-set process templates and use cases, as well as coordinate requirement walk-throughs and signoff
  • You will support hands-on system configuration of Scale, functional/system testing, integration testing, UAT, test script writing, training and support
  • You will partner with clients to translate business specifications into test specifications and scripts, collaborating closely with the client’s and related support functions


EDUCATION

  • A technical background or a technical degree or diploma is an asset


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of Scale WMS experience
  • 3-5 years of warehouse operations experience
  • Basic SQL knowledge and experience
  • Experience developing an overall testing strategy, writing test scripts, testing execution (e.g. User Acceptance Testing) and communicating testing results back to clients
  • Experience managing and training client personnel, developing training documentation, executing training
  • Proficient understanding of WMS integrations with ERP and third-party logistics (3PL) systems
  • Proficient understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) devices
  • Proficient understanding of Scale configuration
  • Experience developing process flows
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex software concepts to non-technical warehouse operators
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (e.g. MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)


COMPENSATION

$70,000 - $80,000
