Job description

Position Summary

Odyssey Systems is seeking a Senior Spectrum/Signal Processing Engineer to support advanced situational awareness and multi-domain operations (MDO) programs. This role focuses on the design, analysis, and integration of RF and signal processing systems that enable next-generation battlefield awareness, electronic warfare, and spectrum management capabilities.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, analysts, and operators to design and deliver systems that integrate data from diverse sensors, communications, and radar systems to provide actionable intelligence and operational advantage. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in RF, signal processing, and spectrum management, along with experience contributing to mission-critical DoD programs in multi-domain environments.

This is a full time position located at MacDill AFB, FL or Washington DC

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:ย 

  • Spectrum and Signal System Design: Develop, evaluate, and integrate RF and signal processing systems to support situational awareness and multi-domain operations.
  • Signal Analysis & Processing: Apply advanced signal processing, computational techniques, and AI/ML methods to analyze RF and sensor data for operational decision support.
  • Operational Integration: Translate high-level operational requirements into deployable technical solutions, ensuring systems operate effectively across air, land, sea, and space domains.
  • Multi-Domain Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to design interoperable systems and integrate sensor and communications architectures into a unified operational picture.
  • Testing & Validation: Conduct modeling, simulation, and real-world system testing to ensure mission readiness, performance, and spectrum compliance.
  • Technical Leadership & Influence: Serve as a subject matter expert in spectrum management, signal analysis, and situational awareness technologies, advising program leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Active Secret (ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI Poly required)

Education:ย Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience.

  • Strong expertise in RF engineering, spectrum management, signal processing, and sensor systems.
  • Hands-on experience with sensors, radar, communications systems, and electronic warfare platforms.
  • Proficiency in signal processing software and languages and experience with AI/ML applied to sensor data.
  • Familiarity with multi-domain operational concepts, situational awareness systems, and DoD sensor architectures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, lead technical efforts, and communicate complex concepts to stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Education:ย Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline

Experience:ย 

  • Experience in Multi-Domain Operations (MDO), electronic warfare, or spectrum dominance programs.
  • Familiarity with System-of-Systems (SoS) engineering, sensor fusion, and interoperability standards.
  • Knowledge of situational awareness tools and workflows

Certifications:

  • Advanced certifications such as Certified RF Specialist (CRFS), Certified Signal Processing Engineer (CSPE), or equivalent.

Technical Skills

  • Demonstrated record of innovative technical solutions aligned with defense and mission objectives.
