Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, Acute Care, Seattle, WA — start 09/07/2026 for a 14-week travel assignment. Responsibilities
- Perform clinical assessment to identify patient needs and appropriateness of occupational therapy services
- Plan, implement, and revise a Plan of Care; document progress notes and other clinical records
- Assess range of motion, strength, coordination; evaluate need for adaptive equipment and environmental modifications; support functional mobility and safety for ADL performance
- Fabricate and maintain adaptive equipment and hand splints; evaluate patient occupational performance across self-care, work, leisure, and rest
- Assess sensory-motor, psycho-social and cognitive-perceptual components of occupational behavior; consider physical, social, and cultural factors of the patient’s environment
- Apply infection control and universal precautions; collaborate with physicians and the interprofessional team; communicate necessary patient information while protecting confidentiality
- Document procedures, organize and analyze data, maintain accurate records; troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on equipment
Requirements
- Current state license as an Occupational Therapist - Required
- Proof of current CPR certification - Required
- Current driver's license - Required
- Reliable transportation and insurance - Required
- Two years experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting - Required
- Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
