Job Description
Job Title: X-Ray Technologist
Profession: Radiologic Technologist
Specialty: Radiology

Shift: Fri-Sun
Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7 PM - 7:30 AM)
Experience: Minimum 2 years
License: WA state imaging license required, must have WA license in hand
Certifications: BLS, ARRT registered
Must-Have: One year of experience preferred, larger fast-paced hospital experience preferred
Description:
Candidates must have a WA state license.
The facility does not provide a radiation badge; responsibility lies with the employee.
Candidates may not have been associated with any facility within the past year.
This role involves working with four X-ray rooms, four portables, and two fluoroscopy rooms.
No floating to other areas is required; the focus is solely on X-ray.
Common types of imaging performed include portable X-rays and department and emergency department X-rays.
The average number of scans performed per day ranges from 20 to 50.
McKesson PACS and EPIC are used for electronic medical records and communication systems.
Radiology supervisors or lead techs are available on day and swing shifts, but there is no lead on the graveyard shift.
There are no Registered Radiology Assistants, as transporters are on day and swing shifts.
In-house radiologists are available from 8 AM to 5 PM, with off-site radiologists reading after hours.
IVs do not need to be started for this position.
There is no call or standby requirement.
Scrubs are provided for the position.
Department-specific orientation includes two hours with the manager and two weeks with staff.
The facility can cancel up to four shifts during the 13-week assignment.
Required certifications include BLS and ARRT verification.
COVID vaccination is required.
