Job Summary:
Trident Consulting is an award-winning staffing and consulting firm headquartered in San Ramon, CA. They are seeking an experienced L1 Data Center Technician to perform various tasks related to data center operations, including hardware support and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
• Perform rack & stack activities for servers, network devices, and storage equipment
• Handle fiber and copper cabling, patching, labeling, and cable management
• Support hardware installation, relocation, and decommissioning
• Manage hardware inventory, asset tracking, spares, and RMA coordination
• Provide L1 troubleshooting support for server hardware and network connectivity issues
• Perform remote hands support including cable reseating, power cycling, and hardware replacements
• Monitor alerts, update tickets, and maintain accurate documentation
Qualifications:
Required:
• Must be comfortable working in a rotational shift environment (No Night Shift)
• 2–3 years of hands-on data center experience
• Strong understanding of data center components and hardware
• Hands-on troubleshooting and break-fix experience
• Cabling, labeling, cable management, and documentation discipline
• Perform rack & stack activities for servers, network devices, and storage equipment
• Handle fiber and copper cabling, patching, labeling, and cable management
• Support hardware installation, relocation, and decommissioning
• Manage hardware inventory, asset tracking, spares, and RMA coordination
