Cutback Saw Operator โ€“ 2nd Shift

Pries is looking for a Cutback Saw Operator to join our growing team! No previous experience is requiredโ€”we provide on-the-job training for motivated individuals who are ready to learn and grow in manufacturing.

Shift:

  • Mondayโ€“Friday, 2:00 PM โ€“ 10:00 PM
  • Occasional Saturday work based on production needs

Starting Pay:

  • Up to $22.00 per hour
  • Opportunities for advancement and skill development

Requirements:

  • Steel-toe footwear required
  • PPE reimbursement available
Responsibilities:
  • Verify material lengths, die profiles, and work orders using Epicor.
  • Confirm cut tolerances and ensure specifications are met.
  • Inspect material for defects and burrs after cutting; identify and remove defective material.
  • Set and adjust guides according to cutting specifications.
  • Monitor saw stops, blades, lubrication systems, chip collectors, and chip barrels.
  • Work with and provide direction to 1โ€“2 team members to maintain production and quality standards.
  • Ensure stacking equipment aligns material properly according to balance and safety standards.
  • Create rack setups that protect material and prevent damage during handling and storage.
  • Assist in coordinating proper packing and stacking procedures.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures and report unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and reliability.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and production-ready.
