Barber Instructor

The Elaine Sterling Institute is seeking a licensed Barbering Instructor to join our team and support the next generation of barbers. Our mission is to be the global leader in spa and beauty education by blending classical European traditions with modern American scientific technologies. We pursue this mission by delivering educational excellence and maintaining a long-term commitment to each student’s personal and professional growth.

A day in the life of an ESI Barber instructor:

• Prepare and deliver approved daily lesson plans, curriculum, and hands-on demonstrations in modern and classical barbering techniques.
• Provide meaningful daily instruction through lectures, technical demos, practical applications, skills assessments, and testing.
• Conduct monthly academic reviews, evaluate student performance, and maintain accurate classroom and attendance records.
• Enter grades, credit hours, and work-based learning assignments promptly and accurately.
• Serve as a knowledgeable industry resource and mentor, supporting student development in both skill and professionalism.
• Monitor student attendance and encourage student success.
• Review and approve student time-sheets and earned credits.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to support a unified, high-quality learning environment.
• Incorporate school technology, digital tools, and media resources into instruction.
• Follow all GA State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers safety and sanitation procedures.
