Job description

Reporting to the Director, Material Planning, you will determine order quantities and timing for raw materials to support the master production schedule. You will initiate purchase orders, monitor supplier performance, and resolve supply issues to support uninterrupted production. You will leverage strong system proficiency and a continuous improvement mindset to improve material planning processes and data accuracy.
A Taste of Your Responsibilities
  • Review material requirements planning transactions within SAP and convert purchase requisitions into purchase order
  • Ensure timely ordering and delivery of raw materials to support production schedules
  • Monitor open purchase orders, follow up with suppliers on past-due deliveries, and update delivery dates in SAP/Monitor inbound transportation for Conagra-managed lanes and ensure purchase order details align with actual deliveries
  • Maintain accurate master data for raw materials, including lot sizes, lead times, and safety stock levels
  • Track and optimize raw material inventory levels to reduce working capital while preventing shortages
  • Run and analyze system reports, including open purchase orders, inventory aging, and open requisitions, to create purchase orders and resolve discrepancies
  • Support material transitions and manage inventory for new or modified materials
  • Collaborate with plant operations, quality, research and development, and procurement to address material quality, service issues, and supply disruptions
  • Lead or support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives related to material supply and system usage
  • Champion adoption of new planning technologies and process standardization
  • Participate in training and development to remain current on system enhancements and best practices
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all material transactions

Ingredients Required for Your Success
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field
  • One or more years of experience in material planning, supply chain, or a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office, including Excel and Teams
  • Strong analytical skills with the capacity to interpret data, solve problems, and make sound decisions
  • Continuous improvement mindset and effective system utilization
  • Experience working cross functionally and with external suppliers
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Compensation
Pay Range:$64,000-$95,000
The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
