Position Summary


We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Sr. Financial Analyst (Data Analytics) to support the Director of Finance - Business Transformation & Procurement, as well as the Enterprise Platform Operations (EPO) leader and the Procurement/Vendor Management team. This role will play a key part in driving visibility, accountability, and value creation across vendor spend, operational performance, and strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate will help build and manage vendor scorecards, track daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs, automate reporting and processes, and support savings delivery on vendor-level spend. This role will also partner cross-functionally to develop, measure, and monitor expected outcomes and ROI for strategic initiatives, ensuring business cases translate into measurable results.

This role focuses approx. 80% on finance data analytics and 20% on core finance responsibilities.

This role is based out of our Tempe, AZ office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Director of Finance - Business Transformation & Procurement to provide financial and operational support across business transformation and procurement activities.

  • Support the EPO leader and Procurement/Vendor Management team with reporting, analysis, and performance tracking.

  • Develop and maintain vendor performance scorecards, including service, cost, quality, and operational KPIs.

  • Track and report daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs to provide timely visibility into vendor performance, spend trends, and operational outcomes.

  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring reports, dashboards, and manual processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and speed of insights.

  • Support vendor-level spend analysis and savings tracking, including monitoring realized versus planned savings opportunities.

  • Build financial models and business cases to evaluate strategic initiatives, investments, and transformation opportunities.

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define expected outcomes, ROI, and success metrics for strategic initiatives.

  • Monitor and report on initiative performance to ensure expected financial and operational outcomes are achieved.

  • Prepare clear and concise presentations, summaries, and reporting packages for leadership review.

  • Help establish reporting governance, standard definitions, and performance measurement frameworks across supported functions.

  • Drive continuous improvement in data quality, reporting consistency, and decision-support processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, finance, business transformation, procurement, or a related analytical role.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with financial modeling, KPI reporting, and performance analytics.

  • Must have experience with SQL, Python or R Programming Language.

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with finance, operations, procurement, and business leaders.

  • Experience with process automation and improving reporting efficiency.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into actionable insights.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting procurement, vendor management, or strategic sourcing organizations.

  • Experience building dashboards, scorecards, and automated reporting solutions.

  • Strong understanding of savings tracking, ROI measurement, and performance management.

  • Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools is a plus.
