Position Overview:

Reporting to the Rigging Lead this person is responsible for, but not limited to, installing graphics on boats, and/or shrink-wrapping boats and the paperwork associated with the Shrink Wrap position.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prep graphics for use
  • Install graphics packages onto boats.
  • Strive to hit goals for position (90% efficiency)
  • Help move boats around in west end as necessary.
  • Application of gunnel wrap and shrink cover to boats.
  • Heat shrink the material using propane torch.
  • Assure paperwork is complete and enter into the computer.
  • Reviews trailer log for correct trailer and call trailer in
  • Set boat onto trailer and secure.
  • Properly label boat with tag printed from FFDB on computer.
  • Load out boat in QCIS.
  • Actively participate in A3, 5S+1 activities
    • Garbage cans, floors, exterior
  • Will identify potential A3 projects and fulfill those projects.
  • Cross train into other functions within the QA/Rig group
  • Rigging, finish inspection, shrink, seats and motors, test tank, etc.
  • Utilize the Engineering Liaison as necessary to address design, drawings, etc.
  • Learn and understand A3 improvement process.
  • Commitment beyond standard work schedule
  • Works with Rig Lead to ensure that quality criteria are followed, and quality checks are completed.
  • Performs problem identification and supports kaizen activities.
  • Encourages safe behavior and 5S housekeeping activities.
  • Maintains daily communication with supply and customer departments-loading, inspection, warehouse.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
  • Position will work as necessary with other functional parts of the QA/Rigging group in both plants, North and South.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Ability to utilize basic measuring tools, cordless tools, and butane torch.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to challenge team members/peers appropriately to follow standards.
  • Exhibits a willingness to help others, eagerness to learn.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.

Working Conditions:

  • Regularly required to work in outdoor conditions, lifting parts and pieces up to 50 lbs., traveling up and down stairs on a constant basis, sitting, squatting, and bending in various awkward positions for certain lengths of time - including working overhead, traveling in and out of work areas, walking and being on your feet for a majority of the workday. Exposed to noise, dust, and fumes daily. Pushing and pulling material carts. Physical exertion is required.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business context.
