Job Summary
- Pay Rate: $20 per hour
- Dress Code: Business casual; long pants required; jeans permitted if free from holes/inappropriate logos/phrases; closed-toe and closed-heel shoes (tennis shoes encouraged)
- COVID Requirements: None since 2021
- Driving: Not required
- Interview Type: Virtual (Teams) or in-person, based on availability
- Primary Duties:
- Sort and stage letters and packages on a dock
- Check in packages using a scanning device and app
- Move packages with small carts and flatbeds
- Deliver packages to mailstops across campus using maps
- Pick up outgoing packages and stage for outgoing teams
- Look up tracking numbers on a computer
- Respond to customer emails regarding package delivery status
- Post letter mail using USPS postage machine
- Sort and prepare outgoing FedEx and USPS packages
- Move packages within campus as requested
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Skills & Requirements:
- Flexible, team-oriented, and able to take direction
- Able to work independently once trained
- Able to follow a schedule, but adaptable to change (e.g., emergencies, delays)
- Able to read and understand campus maps
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- Professional email communication
- Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing and walking
- Lifting/moving packages up to 50 pounds (over 50 lbs with assistance)
- Pushing/pulling carts with packages
