Circuit Spring is a growing PCB assembly (PCB-A) manufacturing company serving customers across a wide range of industries. We specialize in low-volume, high-mix electronic manufacturing, delivering quality assemblies and exceptional customer service. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to join our team and support our production and supply chain operations.
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing electronic components, managing supplier relationships, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring materials are available to support production schedules. The ideal candidate will have experience procuring electronic components in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment and be comfortable working within QuickBooks and other business systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Source and purchase electronic components, PCB materials, and manufacturing supplies.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations for cost, lead time, and availability.
  • Issue purchase orders and track open orders through delivery.
  • Monitor material requirements and ensure timely procurement to support production schedules.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, shortages, quality issues, and order status.
  • Identify alternate sources for components experiencing shortages or long lead times.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier information in QuickBooks.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, inventory, and sales teams to align purchasing activities with business needs.
  • Monitor inventory levels and help optimize stock to balance customer service and inventory investment.
  • Assist with supplier performance evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality and purchasing procedures.

Requirements
Qualifications
Required
  • 1-2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience purchasing electronic components for PCB assembly, electronics manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience procuring electronic components in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using QuickBooks for purchasing, inventory management, and vendor management.
  • Familiarity with common electronic components, BOMs (Bills of Materials), and contract manufacturing operations.
  • Experience working with distributors such as DigiKey, Mouser, or similar suppliers.
  • Understanding of supply chain challenges including component obsolescence, allocation, and lead-time management.
