Job Title: Small Business and Corporate Tax Manager / Process Efficiency Manager
Location: Tigard, Oregon (Contract to Hire Opportunity)
Department: Accounting & Finance
Reports To: Tax Manager / Director of Finance


About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Tax Professional with Accounting background to join their team as they prepare for significant business growth this fall.

This role offers a flexible hybrid work schedule and an opportunity to contribute to meaningful process improvements within our firm's expanding tax and accounting services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review business and individual tax returns
  • Provide consulting services, tax cleanup, and filing support for business clients
  • Support internal process improvements across accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll systems
  • Assist in training internal team members
  • Contribute to the onboarding and development of a future bookkeeper
  • Support business development initiatives, including client onboarding and relationship building
  • Collaborate with leadership to align responsibilities based on strengths and workload interests

Workload Breakdown

  • Approximately 60% Business Taxes (consulting, cleanup, filing)
  • Approximately 40% Individual Tax Returns, Business Development, and Strategic Growth
  • Many business clients also bring their personal tax work, offering continuity in client service

Schedule & Environment

  • Flexible work schedule with both part-time and full-time availability
  • Hybrid work model (remote/home and office-based)
  • Office located next to Embassy Suites at Washington Square Mall in Tigard, OR
  • General office hours: 9 AM – 6 PM, with flexibility depending on workload
  • Vacation-friendly during the slower season (November–January)
