Job Duties: The Office of Long-Term Care, Med Needs RN position reviews applications for LTC placement, ICF/HDC placement, TEFRA, and PASRR referrals and evaluations in a timely and consistent manner. This position is governed by State and Federal laws as well as agency policy. The Med Needs RN will review applications submitted through QuickBase, the Access Arkansas/ARIES database, and via email. The nurse will process 704s, answer emails, communicate with providers concerning applications submitted to the state for determination, and other duties as assigned. Knowledge of nursing principles, practices and procedures. Experience in assessing and reviewing applications for nursing home residents is a plus. Excellent communication skills are imperative as customer service and professionalism is required for all patient interaction and team collaboration. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work within multiple computer systems, such as QuickBase and ARIES, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Job Summary Registered Nurses (RNs) provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community health programs. RNs assess patient health, develop care plans, administer treatments, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Primary Responsibilities Assess patient health, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with medical orders. Develop, implement, and update patient care plans. Educate patients and families on health conditions and wellness practices. Participate in multidisciplinary care teams to plan and implement care strategies. Maintain accurate patient records and comply with health regulations.

Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures. Ability to perform physical assessments and recognize changes in patient condition. Proficiency in administering medications and treatments safely. Strong communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Arkansas.
