Quick Lane Technician Job Description
Summary:
Quick Lane Technicians are responsible for minor automotive repairs and upkeep including oil changes, brake rotations, and entry-level mechanical work; diagnose customer concerns, and upsell products and services to customers. Must be able to work independently and in a team setting.
Reports To: Service Manager
Job Duties:
Perform repairs and service as indicated on Vehicle Inspection Report or Repair Estimate Order with efficiency, accuracy, and completeness such as oil changes, flushes, tire rotations, etc.
Diagnose customer stated concerns and perform appropriate repairs using factory communications, bulletins, and service procedures.
Suggest products and services to maximize Quick Lane profits while providing labor and time estimates.
Follow dealership procedures while adhering to OSHA and state regulations.
Communicate regularly with parts department, Service Advisors and other technicians to always keep vehicle's status up to date.
Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal and informal training sessions in order to stay up to date with rapidly changing technology.
Other duties as assigned.

Exemption Status:
The Quick Lane Technician is a non-exempt position. You are required by Federal and State
Law and by Reineke Family Dealerships to keep an accurate record of all hours you work each
day. Failure to comply with this requirement can result in disciplinary action up to and including
termination.
The dealership is an "at-will" employer, meaning that your employment has no specific term,
and that the employment relationship may be terminated at any time at the will of either party on
notice to the other. Nothing contained in your commission (compensation/pay) plan should be
understood to alter the nature of the at-will employment relationship or create a contract of
employment for a specific term.

Qualifications:
Basic automotive knowledge
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license
ASE certification preferred but not required
Must be a team player - communication is key
Attention to detail and ability to follow directions
