Automotive Quick Lube / Oil Change Technician

As a quicklube tech, you'llstart by being responsible for inspecting andlubricatingvehicles quickly and thoroughly. And with a little hardwork anddedication, who knows where you'll be able to go? At ourdealership, the door is always open. And so are your options.
*Domestic experience preferred but not required.*
Job Responsibilities
  • Perform multipoint inspections
  • Communicate additionalservice/repair needs to service advisors
  • Service universaljoints, grease fittings, andsteering knuckles using hand- orcompressed-air powered grease guns
  • Inspect fluid levels insteering gears, power steeringreservoirs, transmissions,differentials, rear axle housings and shackles
  • Check tire pressure
  • Lubricate moving partswith specified lubricants
  • Drain oil fromcrankcase and refill with requiredamount of oil
  • Add water to radiatorand battery
  • Replace oil and air filters
  • Inspect all vehiclesfor additional repairs
  • Adhere to all companypolicies, procedures, safetystandards and codes of conduct
  • Follow dealershipsafety procedures to avoid exposureto fumes, dirt and harsh chemicals

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Must meet dealership'srequirements for employment
  • Ability toread/comprehend written instructions and information
  • Familiarity with allaspects of automotive repair/maintenance
  • Must have a validdriver license and be able tooperate manual transmissions
  • Prior experience as atechnician's helper orapprentice preferred
  • Effective communicationand interpersonal skills

PhysicalRequirements/Working Conditions
  • Occasional exposure toinclement weather
  • Ability to operate an automobile
  • Prolonged periods ofstanding, stooping and bending
  • Exerting 20 to 50pounds of force occasionally, and/or10 to 25 pounds of forcefrequently, and/or greater than 10 poundsof force constantlyto move objects
  • Requires a significantamount of walking and/orstanding. May also require workingin the seated position for longperiods while operatingcontrols with arms and legs. This positionmay also requireworking at a production pace while pushing and/orpullingmaterials from place to place.
