Job description

Toyota of Richardson's premier Service Department is looking for highly qualified, skilled technicians to work in quick lane.

These technicians provide general services for vehicle maintenance and repair that include but are not limited to oil changes, tire rotations, filter and fluid replacements in a safe, efficient and productive manner. Must be able to interact with customers in a courteous and friendly manner. Assists in maintaining shop appearance and safety standards along with inventory stocking and other general functions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform courtesy, upper and lower level lube technicians functions.
  • Perform customer service position assigned within guidelines and procedures.
  • Report to work on time as per posted schedule.
  • Perform, in addition to areas of assigned responsibilities, other duties as assigned on maintenance schedule, or as requested by manager.
  • Adhere to Express Lube safety rules and be safety conscious.
  • Inspect and report any needed maintenance or replacements including air filters.
  • Constantly promote standards of excellence through personal image and grooming, from work attitude and customer relations.
  • Assist in making all sales objectives assigned.
  • Offer assistance when needed to other employees and/or customers.
  • Assist the manager during the opening and closing procedures.
  • Restock inventory and perform other assignments as the manager may direct.
  • Maintain a personal appearance and decorum that will reflect a high level of professionalism.
  • Attend continuous classroom training held at the corporate office.
  • Ensure that customers’ vehicles are kept clean
  • Must maintain a valid Texas driver’s license.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stand on concrete or metal surfaces for extended periods of time.
  • Work in an environment that frequently experiences extreme hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, and exhaust fumes.
  • Lift and move inventory items, trashcans and other work related items (up to 50 pounds).
  • Must be able to work at a rapid pace for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, grasp and hold tools and other items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the shift.

Education and/or Experience:

Six months to one year related technical training and/or experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Must have current, valid driver’s license. Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees and to individual customers.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
