Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Parts Runner / Installation Assistant to support our technicians in the field. This role is responsible for transporting parts and materials, assisting with HVAC and refrigeration installations, and providing logistical and hands-on support at job sites. The ideal candidate has experience with route driving, warehouse operations, and interest or experience assisting skilled trades.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive a box truck to deliver parts, equipment, and materials to job sites, customers, and warehouses
  • Assist HVAC/R technicians with installations, including staging materials, setting up work areas, and handling tools and equipment
  • Load, unload, and securely transport parts and materials
  • Operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment safely
  • Support installation teams by moving equipment, holding components, and performing basic mechanical support tasks as directed
  • Use a manual transmission vehicle when required, including in heavy traffic
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles, tools, and work areas
  • Complete delivery and job-site documentation accurately and on time
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, technicians, and customers
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and company standards

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required)
  • Experience in route driving, delivery, or courier services
