Medical Oncologist/Hematologist

Mount Sinai Services at NYC Health+Hospitals/Queens seeks a Medical Oncologist/Hematologist for the Queens Cancer Center!

Mount Sinai Services at NYC Health+Hospitals/Queens is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join the Queens Cancer Center, a Center of Excellence and the only state-of-the-art comprehensive cancer center in the borough of Queens, as well as the only established cancer center within the NYC Health+Hospitals System. This is an outstanding opportunity to work in a mission-driven, high-acuity environment within a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team.

The qualified candidate will join an experienced and collegial group of medical, surgical and radiation oncologists, as well as a full complement of oncology nurse practitioners, physician assistants, oncology pharmacists, nurses, nutritionists and social workers. The Cancer Center provides comprehensive, integrated care across a broad range of malignancies and serves a diverse community of patients.

Faculty hold academic appointments at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, with opportunities for teaching and research.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care in both medical oncology and hematology, including evaluation, treatment planning, and follow-up.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of evidence-based, patient-centered cancer care.
  • Participate actively in weekly multidisciplinary tumor boards and cancer committee activities.
  • Contribute to quality improvement and program development initiatives within the Cancer Center.
  • Engage in teaching residents and medical students through Mount Sinai-affiliated training programs.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to clinical excellence, professional development, and patient advocacy.
Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree with completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology and Hematology.
  • Eligible for or currently holding an active New York State Medical License.
  • Experience in an academic or community-based oncology program preferred.
  • Dedication to serving a diverse patient population with compassion and equity.

The position has a good life balance; it is close to Manhattan and located in the center of a culturally rich and diverse family-oriented community.

Compensation range from 342K to 347K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits).
