Stone Fabrication & Installation Technician | Smithfield, UT

Nexeo is seeking a motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Stone Fabrication & Installation Technician to join a skilled installation crew. This is a full-time, hands-on position working with high-quality stone products used in residential and commercial projects, including countertops, vanities, fireplaces, and other custom installations. The position involves working with materials such as granite, quartzite, quartz, marble, and porcelain. Because each material requires different fabrication and installation techniques, successful candidates must have strong attention to detail, mechanical ability, and a willingness to learn. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and wants to develop valuable skills in the stone fabrication and installation trade.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading installation trucks and inspecting materials prior to departure
• Help ensure necessary tools, equipment, and materials are loaded before leaving for job sites
• Unload, organize, and return tools and equipment to the truck at the end of each job
• Assist experienced installers with countertop and stone installations
• Measure and cut backsplash materials as needed
• Assist with setting sinks and completing seams
• Mix and apply colored epoxies
• Assist with polishing and finishing stone surfaces
• Learn proper installation procedures for granite, quartzite, quartz, marble, porcelain, and other materials
• Track work time accurately
• Inspect materials and completed work for quality and accuracy
• Safely operate power tools and other installation equipment
• Maintain organized and safe work areas
• Identify potential problems during installations and help develop solutions
• Demonstrate consistent problem-solving and issue resolution
• Safely and reliably operate a company installation vehicle when required
• Work effectively both independently and as part of an installation team

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools
• Ability to learn new processes and techniques quickly
• Strong time-management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team
• Dependable, goal-oriented, and self-motivated
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to think ahead and anticipate potential installation issues
• Willingness to learn stone fabrication and installation techniques
• Previous experience using power tools is preferred
• Previous experience in carpentry, cabinetry, construction, auto body, finishing trades, or a similar hands-on field is beneficial but not required

Pay

$16.00–$17.00 per hour

Schedule

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–3:00 PM
