Job description

Rogers Group is seeking candidates for the LOADER OPERATOR role at our Rhea County Quarry in Dayton, TN. Competitive starting wages and great benefits! APPLY NOW!

The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

  • Operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery
  • Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
  • Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management
  • Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency
  • Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a dedication to safe work practices
  • Mechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Must be willing to work outside in a variety of conditions
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in heavy equipment is preferred, but not required
  • Working knowledge of quarry utilities and equipment including crushers, conveyors, scales, etc.
  • Previous experience in quarry environment
  • Experience welding and cutting
