Description

Luck Stone is seeking a hands‑on leader to oversee night‑shift quarry operations at our 4 Richmond area locations. In this role, you will lead plant associates while supporting the safe and efficient extraction, crushing, conveying, and stockpiling of aggregate stone products.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operations professional who enjoys developing people, improving processes, and working in a fast‑paced industrial environment. You will have a direct impact on safety, production, equipment reliability, and the overall success of the operation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide daily leadership, coaching, and direction to pit and plant associates.
  • Lead the team in achieving production, maintenance, safety, and project goals.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow Luck Stone quality‑control programs and maintain established product standards.
  • Ensure the location meets Luck Stone's operational and appearance standards.
  • Build positive relationships with neighbors, customers, vendors, and regulatory inspectors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

Technical and Operational Support

  • Oversee the extraction, crushing, conveying, and stockpiling of aggregate products.
  • Coordinate the service, maintenance, and repair of plant and mobile equipment.
  • Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained according to company standards.
  • Partner with Mine Planning and Structural Engineering to improve safety, efficiency, and operational performance.
  • Support the continued development of team members through training, coaching, succession planning, and growth opportunities.

Business & Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Track and record production data using current software systems.
  • Maintain accurate safety, training, and regulatory documentation.
  • Work with vendors and inventory specialists to stay current on equipment, maintenance products, and technical solutions.
  • Monitor operational priorities and allocate resources effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • DMME Foreman Certification, Certified Competent Person designation, or the ability to obtain the required certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least two years of plant operations supervisory experience within quarry operations, aggregates or mining
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of plant operations, mobile equipment, maintenance practices, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Ability to organize people and resources while managing multiple operational priorities.
