About the Role
As a Quarry Heavy Equipment Operator, you'll play a vital role in our daily operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials critical to our success. You'll work hands-on with the latest equipment, collaborate with experienced professionals, and contribute to a culture where safety and innovation are paramount.
What You'll Do
โ€ข Operate heavy and light mobile equipment, including skid steers, as trained and directed to maintain quarry access points.
โ€ข Perform pre-operational checks and routine servicing of assigned equipment.
โ€ข Conduct site clean-up using hand tools and ensure work platforms remain clear and safe.
โ€ข Safely run and monitor the crushing plant as required.
โ€ข Assist with plant repairs and maintenance tasks, including basic welding and fitting, as needed.
โ€ข Handle water hoses and perform cleanup while maintaining awareness of electrical hazards and slippery surfaces.
โ€ข Report any operational or environmental issues promptly to the foreman.
โ€ข Maintain strict adherence to safety procedures and use all required PPE in compliance with OSHA/MSHA guidelines.
โ€ข Support the team in achieving high standards of productivity and environmental responsibility.

โ€ข Provide valid documentation for I-9 eligibility.

Qualifications & Experience

โ€ข State-approved Welding Certification is a bonus but not required.
