Job description

Description
The University of Chicago's Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering (PME) seeks applications for a junior faculty position in the area of theoretical quantum information, science and engineering. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, quantum information, quantum communication, quantum sensing, quantum error correction, quantum mechanical materials modelling, quantum optics and quantum simulation.
The PME currently has eleven faculty engaged in both fundamental and applied aspects of quantum science and engineering, in both theory and experiment, as well as faculty in other cutting-edge areas of science and engineering. The PME is affiliated with Argonne National Laboratory and the Center for Molecular Engineering at Argonne, and joint appointments are encouraged when appropriate.
All successful candidates will be expected to establish and maintain a robust research program and teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
This position is part of a cluster hire in quantum science at the University of Chicago; the PME also invites applications for a junior faculty position in experimental quantum information, science and engineering. For more information, please see: https://apply.interfolio.com/176923.

Qualifications
Before the start of employment, qualified applicants must hold a doctoral degree or equivalent in a field related to theoretical and/or computational quantum science and engineering.
