• Conduct thorough and trauma-informed assessments to gauge patients' trauma history, identifying their specific needs and tailoring treatment approaches accordingly.
• Develop and implement comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental health improvement.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support patients throughout their healing journey.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, promoting a collaborative healing environment where patients can share their experiences and develop essential coping strategies.
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, fostering open communication and holistic treatment.
• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, helping patients navigate acute distress and develop immediate coping mechanisms.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and resources available to aid in their recovery.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with best practices in mental health care.
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities aimed at enhancing trauma-informed care.
• Engage in continuous professional education by staying updated on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

As a licensed mental health therapist at Energy Balance Counseling Services, you will work primarily with individuals who have experienced trauma. This can include survivors of abuse, those struggling with PTSD, and individuals dealing with dissociative disorders. Your role will involve not only providing therapy but also fostering a supportive and empathetic space where patients feel safe to share their experiences and work towards healing.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, with a strong emphasis on trauma-informed care.
• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Proficiency in EHR systems and relevant computing applications, facilitating streamlined documentation and patient management.

• Experience applying trauma-focused therapies and interventions in a clinical setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills that enable you to communicate effectively and empathetically with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• A composure and ability to function effectively in high-stress environments, ensuring that client needs are met promptly and professionally.

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 90,000 and 110,000 yearly.
