To meet increased demand, we are looking to hire a quantum technologies specialist that can support both traditional and non-traditional sponsors as well as shaping and implementing our internal strategy. Roles & Responsibilities: * Contribute to projects in one or more of the following areas: quantum computing, quantum sensors, and/or quantum communications.
* Communicate results to government sponsors via presentations and reports.
* Help shape MITRE Quantum Information Science and Technology Strategy
* Coordinate to expand quantum technologies work program Basic Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with relevant experience who can immediately contribute to the quantum work program; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience. * Expertise in quantum information sciences and technologies.
* Demonstrated high-level research contributions
* Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
* Ability to work on interdisciplinary topics and communicate well across scientific groups
* Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a U.S. government security investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
* Per the U.S. Government's eligibility requirements, you must be a U.S Citizen to be considered for a security clearance.
* This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site Preferred Qualifications: * PhD in Physics, Quantum, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
* Experience in one or more areas of quantum information such as quantum computing, quantum networking, and/or quantum sensing.
